New Features
- Completely new, much stronger, A.I. - split into three levels.
The A.I. system has been rewritten from the ground up using advanced statistical analysis techniques to present you with a real challenge. To make this accessible even to novice players, three levels have been provided: Easy, Medium and Hard.
- In-game help system.
Not everyone wants to read the instructions on the website while they are playing - and sometimes that's not even practical. To get you going we've now included an overlay help screen that you can read even while you are playing. Due to the constraints of the screen these are not full instructions, but rather hints and tips and an overview of the gestures available at any particular time. Simply tap the help icon to show it, and tap it again to hide it away.
- A.I. speed control.
Sometimes you want to watch careful what your A.I. opposition is doing - other times you just want to get back to your turn as quickly as possible. So we've included an on screen control that lets you set one of three speeds, slow, normal and fast, at any time while the A.I. is playing.
- Full screen
The status bar is now hidden, making the whole screen accessible to the game.
Bug fixes and enhancements
- "Undo" ability if you accidentally touch another territory while trying to fortify. If this takes you into an unwanted attack you can now left swipe at the bottom of the screen to go back to your fortifying.
- Following some reports of overly long runs of bad dice rolls, the random number generator has been tightened up further by introducing a randomised sliding window from one type of generator over the sequence generated by another. If that doesn't mean anything to you, don't worry. It just means that the dice should be as random as they get.
- Slightly adjusted max zoom out level slightly so that it now perfectly fits the width of the screen in landscape.
- Fixed a bit of a glaring bug where, after deploying new armies, you can start attacking an unconnected territory. Whoops.
- Fixed bug where sometimes an A.I. player does not deploy all available armies and keeps them over for the next round.
